A little about me

After a career in corporate law, I came to psychology with a deep understanding of the challenge of prioritising mental health while also juggling a busy career and family life. I bring open-minded curiosity, warmth, and compassion to my relationships with my clients and truly believe in working together towards shared therapy goals. Through evidence-based therapy that is tailored to the needs of individuals, I focus on building on strengths while also allowing space for vulnerability and self-compassion.

Like many during COVID, I was able to embrace the flexibility of remote work to provide telehealth sessions that fit around the demands of my clients’ time, and I believe we should still have that flexibility in life.

My experience working with children, adults, and families in private, hospital, and not-for-profit settings means I am dedicated to helping people cope with life’s challenges. This includes chronic illness or pain, work-related stress or burnout, or the ups and downs of parenting. I strongly believe that in working through these challenges we can build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create meaning and purpose in life.

A bit more about me
What has working in and studying psychology taught you?
The importance of being “seen”. When we feel truly understood, we can cope with even the most distressing thoughts and feelings. This is true no matter how young or old we are.

What is your self-care ritual?
Walking in nature, a warm cup of tea, chatting with friends over a yummy meal, and hugs from loved ones. I also love travel, musical theatre, and being beaten by members of my family in board games (or the occasional win!).

A fun fact about me
I once ate a three-course meal in the pitch dark, without knowing what any of the food was. It was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever eaten!
