A little about me

As a psychologist, I work hard to make clients feel safe and empowered, both in our sessions and in life. My warm, person-centred and strength-based approach allows for collaborative work, where clients are active participants in their well-being journey. I honour the expertise each client brings, and am committed to making the evidence-based skills I offer useful and meaningful. My goal is to help clients gain a better understanding of their experiences, respond effectively to life’s challenges, and find a sense of agency to live in line with their values.

My experience involves working with clients across a range of ages, presentations and settings. This has included working with children and adults in individual therapy, delivering parenting programs for anxiety and behavioural difficulties, and supporting patients with cancer and their carers in a hospital inpatient/outpatient service. I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate training at The University of Sydney and completed part of my postgraduate training at The University of New South Wales.

A bit more about me
What has working in and studying psychology taught you?
Therapy is a two-way street. We learn just as much from clients as they do from us, and fostering a therapeutic relationship is key. It is a privilege to be able to celebrate our clients’ wins, sit with them in the face of uncertainty, and support them as they move towards the life they want to live.

What is your self-care ritual?
It’s a bit of a Russian roulette: being outdoors, taking dance classes, listening to music, watching live shows, staying in, being with family and treating myself to a good meal.

A fun fact about me
I grew up in Manila, where we have a dog named ‘Moose,’ who looks just like Chewbacca! He’s the love of our lives and the light of our days.
