A little about me
I am a warm, empathetic, and compassionate psychologist who believes growth happens through genuine curiosity, connection, and collaboration. My approach is client-centred, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirming, with a focus on fostering self-acceptance, agency, and confidence.
I view therapy as a collaborative partnership, with you as the expert in your own life. My role is to provide a safe, supportive space for reflection, insight, and evidence-based strategies, while gently challenging and encouraging you to make meaningful change. Building relationships grounded in trust, respect, and authenticity is central to my practice.
My professional and academic journey has taken me across Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Australia, enriching both my personal and professional perspective. I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, age groups, and life experiences across public, private, and community settings. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the uniqueness of every person’s story and continue to inform the way I practise.
I am passionate about helping individuals reconnect with their authentic selves, let go of coping strategies that no longer serve them, and move towards greater self-acceptance and self-compassion. This is especially important in my work with neurodivergent adults.
My areas of interest are
- ADHD, Autism and other neurodivergent profiles
- Eating disorders and body image concerns
- Self-esteem and self-acceptance
- Trauma
- Anxiety disorders, including generalised anxiety, social anxiety, and phobias
- Addiction
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
I work with
- Young Adults
- Adults
- Older adults
- Neurodivergent Adults
I use
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (TF-CBT)
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
I also have a growing interest and developing experience in:
- CBT-Enhanced (CBT-E) for Eating Disorders
- Schema Therapy
A bit more about me
What has working in and studying psychology taught you?
One of the greatest lessons psychology has taught me is that every person is the expert of their own life. Being invited into someone’s story and trusted with their vulnerability is an incredible privilege.
What is your self-care ritual?
My favourite forms of self-care are video calls with my little niece on the other side of the world and a swim in the sea.
A fun fact about me?
I share my home with a very demanding ginger cat named Louie, who is unquestionably the boss of the house!
