A little about me

As a clinical psychologist, my goal is to walk alongside clients on their journey to healing and self-discovery. I create a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where people can explore their difficulties and work toward meaningful change. My approach is compassionate and rooted in the belief that progress is always possible, no matter how small the steps.

I’m particularly passionate about helping individuals heal from the lingering impact of trauma. Traumatic experiences can become ‘stuck,’ shaping our lives long after the event has passed. I believe trauma does not have to define us—it can be processed and released in a safe, therapeutic environment.

I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Manchester and am currently transferring my qualifications to practice in Australia. I have worked across public, private, and charitable sectors, supporting people of all ages with a range of challenges. Most recently, I worked in a specialist traumatic stress service supporting survivors of childhood trauma and provided therapy for individuals living with PTSD through the UK charity Freedom from Torture. In addition to trauma work, I also help adults and children manage mood disorders like depression and anxiety through evidence-based, tailored therapies.

A bit more about me

What has working in and studying psychology taught you?

  • Change is possible with everyone, no matter how small.
  • The importance of compassion within the therapy relationship and other parts of our lives.
  • Clients are experts of their own experiences.
  • Just how important the therapeutic relationship is.

 What is your self-care ritual?

I love making new recipes and inviting friends and family around to try out the food, and have a laugh. I love sunset walks and runs along the beach and generally just being outside helps me too.

 A fun fact about me
I accidentally got in the way of a silverback mountain gorilla in Uganda, and he pushed me out the way, I’m forever grateful that they are vegetarian.
