A little about me

I take a person-centred approach and aim to understand the unique experiences and environments that shape how someone has learned to cope. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, respected and understood as whole people. Sessions are down-to-earth and collaborative, I see therapy as a reflective, collaborative space grounded in connection, curiosity  and genuine understanding.

My work has spanned acute mental health, private practice, and a specialised menopause clinic, shaping an approach that is warm, relational, flexible and strongly evidence-based.  My eclectic approach draws on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I place strong value on the therapeutic relationship and work collaboratively at your pace, supporting you to build practical skills, insight, and confidence. I enjoy working with individuals across the lifespan to build insight and create a stronger sense of stability and self-understanding.

I hold a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) and a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Newcastle. Throughout these studies, I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based psychological practice and have conducted research in areas related to Bipolar Disorder.

My areas of interest are:

A bit more about me

What has working in and studying psychology taught you?
Psychology has taught me to look beyond symptoms and stay curious about the person, their story and what has shaped the way they cope.

What is your self-care ritual?
I find balance through ocean swims, movement and slow mornings with coffee.

A fun fact about me:
I grew up dancing, though I’m still surprisingly uncoordinated.
